Plus Size vs Skinny Minnie

Plus size vs skinny minnie?  Just because a gal is plus size doesn’t mean that she’s dumb, unhappy, or a person that is boring to be around.  Actually, if you take a look on the TV you’ll often find all kinds of modelling shows … with most models being the skinny minnie variety.

How many of them do you see ever crack a smile?  How many even look healthy, never mind happy?

You can take the exact same dress and put it on a plus gal and hands down people won’t notice the dress whether you’re a skinny minnie or not.  What people will notice is the attitude that shines through your personality.

Are you a joyful person?  Or, an unhappy grumpy person that just shows up when you have to?  The difference is like day and night.  Who would you rather be around – some one who’s negativity hangs over everyone like a cold shower, or someone who even if they have a few extra pounds is the light and joy that uplifts,  and brings a sense of excitement and anticipation to everyone they’re around?

Who are you now? Who do you want to be?  To borrow from the tale of Snow White … Grumpy or Happy?  If you’re Grumpy and wondering why everyone seems to be “too busy” or avoiding you, or for some reason you always seem to get interrupted in conversations … step back and take a look at your attitudes about yourself, your life, the kinds of thoughts and conversations you have and notice what “tone” those thoughts and moments took.

I’ll bet it won’t take you long to discover that if other people aren’t eager to be with you, then you’re probably putting out “negative vibes” and are perceived as a “grumpy” personality.

Thoughts change things.  ”If something doesn’t suit you change your thoughts and you change the thing.”  I forget who first coined this phrase, but it is so embarrassingly true!  I notice it myself and my attitudes.  I notice it with my sales people.  If they’re grumpy … I tell them to go for a round of golf, a cup of coffee or go meet a friend for lunch … anywhere to get them to change their state of mind.  Once they come back with a smile on their face … wouldn’t you know it … all of a sudden their sales pick back up and they’ve got dates galore for parties and people wanting to be with them.  Go figure.

When you change your state, you change your point of focus and things that you were blind to before you suddenly see clearly and wonder how you ever missed it before.  Want to change your life?  Change your attitude and your thoughts … and it really doesn’t matter if you’re a plus size.  In fact … all that matters is your internal set point … try it and see for yourself.

Cheers,

Ange

Self Confidence Is An Attribute Of Beauty

How many beautiful women have self confidence?  Take a look around you and and note the quality of her self esteem.

When a woman is confident in herself and her abilities, it becomes a part of her charm and that quality is in of itself a thing of beauty.  It’s like watching a child as they become more certain of their abilities and then they master it and make it completely their own.

The same is true with self esteem and the attitude you project.  Sure there are those that take it to extremes and appear obnoxious.  But by and large ask any man what beauty is and he’ll show you a woman with self-confidence and a way about her that speaks volumes without her ever saying a word.

Don’t believe me, there are whole books written on the subject such as Slade Shaw’s “Supreme Self  Confidence“  or the “Get A Guy Guide” and relationship transformaton series- which aims to help those with low self perception to learn how to interact confidently in relationships and social situations.

I find watching human interactions extremely interesting.  It’s often eye opening to see a truly confident person in action.  Note how others react to her, and how she reacts when she is ignored, is paid attention to, is paid a complement, insulted or given a back-handed compliment.

The myriad of human emotions we all feel, but how one deals with them is the difference.  Don’t believe me – watch  a self confident woman in action and see for yourself.

Men find this quality infinitely mesmerizing.  See that couple walking down the  street, and that self assured beauty that walks by?  If I’m so wrong, why does it happen nearly without fail, that the female counterpart of the couple will either give her spouse a nasty look or hit him?  It’s because usually she caught him looking in a particular way at that confident woman that walked by.

Now was his spouse upset because he was looking or because she knew what he was thinking by the way in which he was reacting?  You be the judge.  I find these kinds of reactions between people infinitely amusing. Heck I’m just as guilty.

And men aren’t the only culprits!  Women are just as likely to find a self confident man attractive.  No two ways about it.  It seems ingrained in the human psyche that we find confidence a thing of beauty and attraction.

What’s attraction on your personal scale?  Where do you perceive yourself to fit in on that same scale?  Is your personal self perception holding you back?  If it is, then it’s time to do something about it.

Self perception and self confidence are partners in how we see ourselves and how we think others see us.   Often so many of us get hung up on a few extra little pounds, when if we’d also work on our attitudes we’d see an immediate difference in how others treat us.

Profound change can be made quickly and simply.  The choice of what you will do is up to you.
